Looking for an opportunity with a growing company? Leading manufacturer of custom plastic containers is seeking an HDPE process engineer. This position is responsible for the overall manufacturing processes as well as implementing cost savings and quality improvements.

Duties include:

-Participate in job safety training to promote and ensure a safe and healthy work environment

-Inventory control

-Enforce safety regulations

-Coordinate activities concerned with scheduling and any process problems

-Troubleshooting of equipment

-Develop and manage a process improvement plans for quality and time savings.

-Develop and implement training for employee’s who work with machinery

-Coordinate and oversee new product start-ups.

Minimum Skills:

-5 years experience in a plastics process engineering role. Strongly prefer container background.

-Chemical engineering/Plastics four-year degree or related engineering degree

-Excellent problem solving skills

-Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatically operated systems

-Two and single step PET process experience a plus

MAJOR ACTIVITIES:

• Use experience in technology and REVIT applications to improve the quality, practice, and delivery of engineering designs to our clients.

• Manage relationship with external CADD/BIM system consultants
• Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training

• Provide support for REVIT questions with a process for disseminating that learned information to other staff
• Monitor conformance to standards and processes for REVIT.
• Ability to find creative solutions to users problems through research and development.
• Work with Autodesk to resolve major technical issues.

Requirements

• Prior experience with an MEP engineering firm is highly desired.
• Multi-disciplinary thinking and familiarity with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing trades.
• Must be a Revit Expert, preferably the MEP portion.
• Must have above average troubleshooting skills, strong analytical problem solving skills, and the ability to interpret technical questions.
• Any IT related or helpdesk support knowledge is a plus

• Experience as a Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or fire protection Designer\Drafter

• Electrical hardware design of new products
• Creating schematics and using circuit design software to produce printed circuit boards
