Supplier Development Manager

- The Supplier Development Manager will assess new suppliers, manage performance expectations using reporting and improvement programs for existing suppliers, identify and recommend new suppliers, and assist in supply chain management.
- Responsibilities include both domestic and international supply chain development, including project-specific supply needs, and optimizing both value of international frame agreements and local content requirements Developing and implementing continuous improvement programs with suppliers to improve inventory turns and delivery, reduce lead times and implement long term contractual agreements.
- Developing, implementing and certifying Suppliers to help eliminate external processes to reduce inventory, reduce lead times
- Negotiating long-term agreements to insure on-time delivery along with delegated inspection that insures parts go dock-to-stock.
Requirements
- 5+ years related experience and/or training
- Experience with manufacturing processes used in cellular manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a cross functional environment with quality employees
- Experience working in an ISO quality systems or highly regulated environment (medical or aerospace)
- Experience creating and leading continuous improvement techniques
