Staff Accountant

Local Kansas City CPA firm needs a Staff Accountant to help with both tax and accounting responsibilities.  Prior experience in public accounting is helpful, but not required.  Progress toward CPA certification is encouraged, as well as eventual passing the exam and becoming certified.  Tax work includes corporate, partnership and individual returns.  Accounting responsibilities include handling multiple sets of books and the ability to meet deadlines.  Good computer and payroll skills are needed.

Salary $30-35K.
